ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
- Lead and mentor the Procurement team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to forecast procurement needs and budget planning.
- Ensure efficient procurement processes, compliance with policies, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Oversee contract negotiations, supplier selection, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor procurement KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure procurement records are accurate and up to date, including contracts and supplier performance metrics.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the organization's procurement needs are met in a cost-effective, timely manner, initially focusing on ice cream and blending procurement needs.
- Develop market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and category management strategies.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, legal standards, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Legal, and other departments to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Lead procurement-related change management and system implementations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract law, and supplier management.
- Relevant experience in food ingredient sourcing, including dairy, packaging, and strategic vendor management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Oracle) and procurement analytics.
- Subject to up to at least 92db’s.
- Lifting: up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, on a regular basis.
- Reaching: Extending hands and arms in any direction.
- Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist occasionally.
