KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage the work assignments of all maintenance staff.
- Manage the activities of assigned personnel to ensure maintenance excellence is achieved and maintained so that all equipment is operating at cost-effective, peak performance.
- Proactive leadership that fosters teamwork and enhances IFG culture and standards.
- Train, mentor, evaluate performance and counsel team members promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the warehouse and inventory of parts and materials
- Work closely with other departments, including Dry End, Green End and Quality to coordinate efforts and streamline operations.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of all capital projects in the mill.
- Collaborate with Plant Superintendent to build and manage the department budget.
- Oversee installation, repair and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment and coordination of outside contractors, with primary focus on safe and continuous operation of all equipment and facilities.
- Ensure that safety requirements are met in the planning and implementation processes.
- Develop, lead and engage team through CMMS in predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance programs throughout facility.
- Implement and manage root cause analysis (RCA) problem-solving efforts to eliminate repeat equipment failures.
- Evaluate and measure vendor performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Soft Skills:
- Leadership: Strong managerial skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team to achieve a common goal.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges creatively and effectively.
- Organizational Skills: The ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Examples include time management, multitasking, and project management.
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety procedures
- Ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment and tools desirable
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance business processes, including:
- Work order management and workflow process
- Mechanical systems
- Power distribution
- Control systems and hydraulics
- Robotics/Automation
- Precision maintenance techniques
- Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related field.
- Valid driver’s license
