Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting and bookkeeping functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and supporting compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry, accounts payable and receivable management, and bank reconciliations QuickBooks.
- Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Reconcile balance sheets and perform account analysis to verify the accuracy of financial statements.
- Manage payroll processing using systems like ADP, UltiPro, Ceridian, or Kronos while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data.
- Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools such as Excel for data analysis, spreadsheet management, and report generation to support financial decision-making.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Experience with Non-Profit accounting principles, governmental accounting practices, and public accounting standards.
- Expertise in account reconciliation, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and balance sheet analysis.
- Ability to perform Excel data analysis efficiently using spreadsheets for budgeting, account analysis, and financial reporting.
- Excellent numeracy skills combined with strong attention to detail in handling complex financial concepts.
- Effective communication skills for customer service interactions related to accounts receivable/payable inquiries.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining accuracy.
