What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) position at Idaho Eye Center?
Seeking Registered Nurse to Join the Idaho Eye Center team at our newest location in Twin Falls whose main focus will be on perioperative nursing care in our Ambulatory Surgery Center with oversight on accreditation and management responsibilities. In this role you will assist in a variety of ophthalmic and refractive surgical cases including Cataract surgery and LASIK. Prefer experience in an outpatient setting and operating room experience. We are seeking natural leadership skills; someone that leads by example and takes charge when given a lot of autonomy.
Travel to the surrounging Idaho Eye Center locations is necessary for initial training purposes.
Perioperative nurse with clinical and critical thinking skills
Understanding of an Ambulatory Care Setting
- Outpatient care services
- Accreditation
- Materials management
- Works closely with the doctor's clinic
Patient screening competency
- Paper and electronic charting
- Pre-operative nursing calls for every patient including med. rec and allergy documentation
Circulating skill in the OR setting
ACLS required
IV start proficiency
