Join our team as a Building Facility Coordinator in our Boise office! The Division of Management Services (DMS) is seeking a detail-oriented, organized professional who enjoys a wide variety of tasks and can adapt quickly to changing priorities to join our Bureau of Operations team! We’re looking for a proactive, detail‑driven go‑getter who thrives on variety and keeps operations running smoothly. In this fast‑paced role, you’ll support facility and administrative needs across the region—reviewing facility requests, coordinating office moves, jumping in on light maintenance, and managing our local motor pool. If you enjoy being organized, adapting quickly, and making things happen, we want to hear from you!

You’ll take the lead on office maintenance, motor pool support, and may also help guide building safety procedures and evacuation efforts. Your work helps ensure our Boise facility is safe, efficient, and ready to support our teams every day.

This position is not eligible for telework.

    EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

    Facility Coordination

    • Pinpoints facility and motor pool needs and gets resources in place fast
    • Build strong, consistent communication with staff to keep operations smooth
    • Anticipates maintenance issues and takes immediate action
    • Maintains an optimal facility environment—HVAC, lighting, cleanliness, and more
    • Ensures all programs follow facility and motor pool policies
    • Leads staff confidently during emergencies and critical incidents
    • Recommends smart safety upgrades and supports emergency personnel during evacuations
    Contractor Supervision

    • Oversees contractor performance and daily building operations
    • Creates clear project and move plans, driving contractors to successful outcomes
    • Coordinates seamlessly with housekeeping, security, and program staff

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. It is highly recommended to attach a one-page cover letter to your application to demonstrate how you meet the requirements below.

      • Some knowledge of supervisory practices . Typically gained a class or seminar (more than one day) specifically covering supervisory practices; or leadwork experience that required work assignment, direction, and monitoring (such experience on a fill-in basis is non-qualifying unless for a period of approximately three months or more); or successful completion of a college-level personnel course.
      • Some knowledge of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers . Typically gained by successful completion of a high school or vocational basic arithmetic course covering addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers.
      • Experience resolving customer service problems . Typically met by approximately one year of experience working in customer service solving customer problems.
      • Experience developing written reports . This is typically gained by at least six (6) months of experience where you were required to research, compile and organize information into written reports for management decisions.
      • Experience operating and maintaining commercial lighting, audio-visual, and sound equipment . Typically gained by approximately six months of experience operating and maintaining commercial lighting, audio-visual, and sound equipment.
      • Experience using tools, equipment, materials and common practices used in facility preparation including custodial work . Typically gained by one year of facility preparation experience such as cleaning meeting rooms, floors, tables, etc.
