Ida Crown Jewish Academy (ICJA) in Skokie seeks a highly organized, personable Office Manager to lead front office operations and serve as the welcoming face of our school.
As part of the senior staff, the Office Manager supervises the front office team, ensures smooth day-to-day operations, and supports the school’s educational, administrative, and communications functions. This role requires professionalism, warmth, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate front office workflow and staff.
• Manage phones, mailings, scheduling, and school communications.
• Oversee attendance and student records; maintain the SIS database.
• Support major events such as Graduation and Awards Ceremonies.
• Serve as first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills required. Office management or school administrative experience preferred.
The ICJA front office is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. on Fridays, depending on the time of year. Though the Office Manager will not be expected to work more than an 8-hour shift on a regular basis, our ideal candidate would have flexibility in their daily schedule during regular office hours.
