The Ten Mile Urgent Care clinic is now hiring for a motivated and adaptable part-time Medical Assistant for the evening shift! Position Summary & Highlights This position will work at our Ten Mile Urgent Care clinic next to the Ambulatory Surgery Center! This position will work with a variety of providers and other MAs and RNs in a fast-paced care team environment. Open daily with limited wait times, urgent care provides convenient and cost-effective treatment for conditions that are non-life-threatening. Please make sure you meet the Minimum Requirements below before applying. ***CNA work experience does not qualify applicants for the MA position. See Minimum Requirements below for details.*** What You Will Do: In addition to primary MA duties, you will also perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and prep injections. You will assist with minor procedures, complete POC and other tests, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox. An ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, is adaptable and dependable. You also like working in a strong team environment, have effective communication skills, and have solid critical thinking skills Work Schedule: 27 hours/week, 3 - 9s. Exact schedule is still being determined. Evening shift - 1:45pm - 11:15pm. New Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification. Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed below. MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Healthcareer Association (CCMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC) National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire. *EMT and CNA certifications will NOT count towards an MA certification. Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year.
