Groundskeeper Full-Time day shift (Boise)

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose: Saint Alphonsus is looking for a Groundskeeper to add to their team in Boise. Position Highlights and Benefits: Schedule Information: This position will be scheduled to work full-time during the day shift hours. Current schedule is: 5am-1:30pm Possible schedule change in the spring to: 5am-3:30pm Position supports department operations year-round. Day 1 Benefits for colleagues! Minimum Qualifications: 1 year of landscape maintenance experience preferred. Experience working with small engine, motor mechanics, and irrigation repair preferred. Must have active driving privileges. What you will do: Candidate needs to know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. Ability to follow written/verbal instructions . Completes all tasks under direct supervision of the supervisor or other department staff as assigned. Performs duties so that instructions and procedures are followed and safety rules are observed. Maintains turf areas using appropriate tools and techniques. Cares for all gardens and flowerbeds by chemical and physical weeding; removes cigarettes and debris. Prunes flowers, shrubs, bushes, and trees using appropriate tools and techniques. Conducts routine maintenance on grounds equipment and fleet vehicles. Operates snow removal equipment. Reports any issues to Supervisor or upper level staff.
