Warehouse cleaner/maintenance

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Cleaner/Maintenance technician to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of our warehouse environment. This vital role involves performing comprehensive cleaning tasks, routine maintenance, and minor repairs to maintain a pristine and efficient facility. The ideal candidate will bring energy, precision, and a strong work ethic to keep our warehouse running smoothly and safely every day.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all warehouse areas, including floors, aisles, offices, restrooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to maintain a spotless and professional appearance
• Carry out janitorial tasks including trash removal, restocking supplies, window cleaning, and surface sanitation to uphold hygiene standards
• Perform routine custodial maintenance such as light repairs, fixture checks, and ensuring proper operation of cleaning equipment
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks like painting touch-ups in residential or commercial settings and minor repairs to warehouse infrastructure
• Maintain cleanliness of industrial cleaning tools and supplies; ensure all safety protocols are followed during cleaning procedures
• Support overall warehouse operations by acting as a porter—helping with moving supplies or equipment as needed—while ensuring safety standards are met

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial or industrial setting preferred
• Experience with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing
• Background in facilities maintenance or general upkeep within warehouses or large facilities preferred
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning products and equipment operation required
• Familiarity with residential painting or light repair work is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety procedures diligently
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple cleaning and maintenance tasks efficiently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
