Role Description The Commercial Interior Design Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pompano Beach, FL. This position oversees commercial interior design projects from concept through completion, coordinating design teams, consultants, vendors, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with client expectations and brand standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project schedules and budgets, leading internal and client-facing meetings, preparing and reviewing documentation, and monitoring progress during design development, procurement, and installation. The role involves coordinating FF&E and material selections, reviewing construction documents and shop drawings, supporting site inspections, and resolving issues that arise during construction and installation. The Project Manager also contributes to process improvement, supports quality control, and helps maintain strong client relationships through clear, proactive communication.
Qualifications
- Experience in project oversight, including Project Management for commercial interior design or architecture projects.
- Ability to manage procurement workflows, including Expediting and coordination with vendors and suppliers as an Expeditor.
- Skills in Logistics Management to organize deliveries, installations, and schedules across multiple stakeholders and sites.
- Familiarity with Inspection processes, including site walks, punch lists, and quality checks during construction and installation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency with design and project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD/Revit, MS Office, project scheduling software).
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities with a focus on detail and quality.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with experience leading meetings and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in commercial mixed-use, retail, hospitality, or related sectors is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Pompano Beach, FL, and conduct site visits as needed.
