Senior Accountant

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the general ledger, overseeing month-end close, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and audits. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of GAAP, and the ability to improve processes while providing clear financial insights to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Maintain and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Monitor and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries
• Review and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and amortization entries
• Support year-end processes, including audits, tax filings, and financial reporting requirements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Prepare accruals, deferrals, and reclassifications
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvements
• Assist with internal controls, process improvements, and policy development
• Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and recommendations
• Maintain accurate documentation and support external auditors as needed
• Help with special projects, system implementations, and cross-departmental coordination

Qualifications

• 3 years' of professional accounting experience
• Big 4 or Public Accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• CPA preferred
