POSITION SUMMARY
The Low Voltage Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of low voltage systems projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role oversees budgets, schedules, procurement, and field coordination to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The PM serves as the primary client-facing contact and internal liaison between estimating, field operations, and executive leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning & Startup
- Manage project handoff from estimating, including full review of scope, budget, and contract documents Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestone plans, and look-ahead schedules Create and manage project-specific procurement logs, submittal schedules, and RFI logs Coordinate pre-construction meetings with GCs, owners, and design teams Set up project files, folders, and documentation standards at project kickoff
Budget & Financial Management
- Own project budgets from award through final billing, tracking costs against original estimate Prepare, submit, and negotiate change orders in a timely manner Process and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices; manage committed costs Submit accurate monthly pay applications and ensure timely collections Provide accurate monthly cost-to-complete (CTC) forecasts to leadership
Field Coordination & Oversight
- Partner with foremen and superintendents to align field execution with project schedule Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and safety compliance Resolve field issues, design conflicts, and RFIs quickly to avoid schedule impacts Coordinate system commissioning, inspections, and AHJ approvals Manage punch list completion and ensure timely project closeout
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, GCs, and design consultants Proactively communicate project status, risks, and changes to all stakeholders Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and referrals Facilitate owner training and system demonstrations at project completion
Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
