Job Summary: POD is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Folder Operator to operate and monitor folding equipment used to finish printed materials. This role is responsible for setting up machines, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring jobs are completed accurately and efficiently according to production specifications.
Schedule: 2nd shift: Monday to Friday: 3:00pm - 11:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate folding equipment according to job specifications.
- Adjust machine settings for different paper sizes, stocks, and folding requirements.
- Load and feed printed materials into the folder.
- Monitor equipment throughout production and make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect finished products for proper folds, alignment, and overall quality.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate larger problems to supervisors or maintenance.
- Maintain accurate production counts and complete required production paperwork.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance.
- Follow production schedules and meet daily productivity and quality goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating folding or finishing equipment preferred.
- Commercial printing or bindery experience is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn and operate production machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials as required.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.
Salary : $46,300 - $60,005
