Position SummaryWe’re seeking a hands-on Mobile Garage Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain CAT heavy equipment and plant mobile equipment. This role involves diesel diagnostics, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting, component rebuilds, and occasional field service work.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair diesel engines, powertrains, and hydraulic systemsTroubleshoot 12V/24V electrical systemsPerform preventive maintenance and inspectionsRemove and rebuild major components (engines, pumps, transmissions, brakes)Respond to field service calls as needed (including occasional nights/weekends)Document work orders in maintenance softwareFollow all safety procedures and LOTO guidelinesRequirements3 years mechanical experience with off-highway or plant equipmentStrong diesel and hydraulic troubleshooting skillsExperience with heavy equipment (CAT preferred)Ability to perform component-level repairs (not just parts replacement)Valid Class A or B CDL requiredMust have own basic hand toolsWork EnvironmentShop and field-based work around heavy equipment in an industrial setting.Why This Role Is CriticalThis position directly supports plant uptime and operational safety.
