We are hiring an experienced Field Services Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile equipment, diesel engines, and industrial machinery.
This position is ideal for mechanics with a background in heavy equipment, fleet maintenance, construction equipment, or industrial maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment and mobile machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment overhauls
- Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
- Repair and maintain air compressors and industrial equipment
- Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed
- Operate cranes, hoists, and shop equipment safely
- Maintain service records and report equipment issues
- Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or Mobile Equipment Mechanic
- Strong experience with:
- Diesel engines
- Hydraulic systems
- Heavy equipment repair
- Ability to read shop manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Experience performing major repairs and equipment rebuilds
- Welding experience is a plus
Preferred Backgrounds (High Match Candidates)
- Heavy equipment / construction equipment mechanics
- Fleet mechanics (trucks, loaders, industrial vehicles)
- Mining, industrial, or MSHA environments
- Mechanics with experience on CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, John Deere, or similar equipment
Not a Fit For
- Entry-level technicians
- Automotive-only mechanics without heavy equipment experience
Pay & Benefits
- $34.00 – $40 per hour (based on experience)
