Role Description The Production Planner is a full-time, on-site role based in Lombard, IL. This role is responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to meet customer requirements, inventory targets, and capacity constraints. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing customer orders and forecasts, coordinating with purchasing, production, engineering, and quality teams, and adjusting schedules in response to changes in demand, material availability, or capacity. The Production Planner monitors work-in-progress, identifies bottlenecks, and recommends actions to ensure on-time delivery and efficient use of labor and equipment. This role also involves analyzing production data, preparing reports, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining accurate records in ERP or planning systems.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with Production Planning and Production Schedules, including capacity planning and sequencing of work orders.
- Strong Planning and Analytical Skills to interpret demand, capacity, and inventory data and translate them into realistic, efficient schedules.
- Clear and professional Communication skills to collaborate effectively with operations, purchasing, engineering, quality, and customer service teams.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving assemblies or electronic/electromechanical products.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel or similar tools for planning, reporting, and data analysis.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and basic production metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, throughput, WIP) is beneficial.
