Responsibilities:
- The Phlebotomist I will be responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while adhering to established practices and procedures.
- Direct contact with patients is expected, where you will create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and collecting blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
- Leadership behaviors will be demonstrated while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time, maintaining a safe and professional environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification is also preferred.
- A minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience is needed.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is beneficial.
- Keyboard/data entry experience is essential.
