As a physiatrist, you will round at 2 Skilled Nursing Facilities, 5 days per week (2 days at one location, 3 days at the other). Your primary focus will be delivering specialized physiatry care to 25 patients per day who are experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a physiatrist, you will round at 2 Skilled Nursing Facilities, 5 days per week (2 days at one location, 3 days at the other). Your primary focus will be delivering specialized physiatry care to 25 patients per day who are experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Performing focused assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery.
- Providing targeted interventions such as joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient-specific needs.
- Serving as the sole physiatrist on-site, operating with a high level of autonomy while supported by a collaborative clinical team for consultation as needed.
- Coordinating care and referring to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
- DEA licensed or willing to obtain DEA licensure.
- Nursing home and/or physiatry experience is a plus, but not required.
- Comfort and interest in performing peripheral joint injections (knees, shoulders, hips).
- A genuine passion for providing professional, personalized care in an autonomous environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with EHR charting
- Hands-on training in facility settings to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
- Flexible hours. No nights or on-call shifts.
- Gain valuable experience in joint injections and rehabilitation care.
- Competitive compensation: production compensation (starting at $115,000/year production bonuses).
