About the Role
The Parts Specialist plays a critical role in the daily success of our dealership. This position is at the center of customer service and operational efficiency—supporting both external customers and internal teams with accurate parts sourcing, inventory management, and timely fulfillment.

What You’ll Do
- Assist customers at the parts counter and over the phone with professionalism and urgency
- Identify, research, and source parts using catalogs, systems, and vendor resources
- Process parts orders including quotes, sales, special orders, and returns
- Receive, stock, label, and organize inventory to maintain accurate stock levels
- Support service technicians with internal parts requests and shop needs
- Monitor backorders and communicate updates to customers and internal teams
- Maintain accurate records, pricing, and inventory adjustments in the system
- Assist with cycle counts and periodic physical inventory
- Prepare parts for shipment or pickup with proper packaging and documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised parts department
- Collaborate with Service, Sales, and Rental teams to meet customer needs
- Support overall dealership operations as needed
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a dealership, automotive, heavy equipment, or parts environment preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to learn and use dealership management systems (HBS experience a plus)
- Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with equipment and parts preferred
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and follow-through
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to parts handling
- Reliable, team-oriented, and motivated to contribute
Bonus Points
- Experience working in a Bobcat or heavy equipment dealership
- Familiarity with parts diagrams, schematics, or technical catalogs
- Inventory control or warehouse experience
