About the Role
We are seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join our accounting team. This position is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the smooth daily operations of our accounting department. The A/P Clerk plays an important role in maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring timely, accurate payments.
What You’ll Do
- Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents for accuracy
- Enter invoices into the accounting system and code them to appropriate general ledger accounts
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies professionally
- Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and credit card transactions
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems for A/P documentation
- Communicate with vendors regarding billing questions and payment status
- Support month-end closing including A/P reconciliations and accruals
- Assist with annual audits by providing necessary documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and tax/reporting requirements (W-9, 1099, etc.)
- Perform additional administrative and accounting support duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 1–2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience (preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with vendors and internal teams

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
