Salary: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Job Summary:
· Must be 18 years or older.

· Submit to a background check, credit check, and drug use screening prior to hire.

· Primary role is to assist customers in the in-store check-out process

· A fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives.

· Abides by pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

· Responsible for taking money in the form of cash or credit card from patrons in exchange for products. Scans items, provides change, balances drawer, processes card transactions and provides receipts.

· Work under immediate supervision of supervisor or manager and must rely on instructions.

· 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area and previous cash handling experience very helpful but not necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Able and willing to demonstrate products.

· Greet customers when entering or leaving the establishment.

· Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction.

· Take customers' orders both in-person and over the telephone.

· Make sales referrals, cross-sell products and introduce new ones.

· Scan items and ensure pricing is correct.

· Take coupons and scan correctly.

· Ask for one or two forms of ID to confirm identity.

· Take money in the form of cash or credit card.

· Dispense correct change, issue receipts and change receipt paper as needed.

· Bag items carefully.

· Clean up and tidy sales counter and checkout area with damp cloth and disinfectant.

· Sell e-cigarettes, vape, kava, kratom, and hemp products.

· Bag, box, or prepare for shipment merchandise.

· Return unwanted items to shelves.

· Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information; get a manager if the answer doesn't solve the issue.

· May handle checking materials and supplies and reporting when stock is low.
