What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tower Climber / Wireless Network Technician position at Icon Technologies, Inc.?
We’re a growing local wireless broadband provider based in Carbondale, PA looking for a dependable network technician to connect residential and business customers, maintain existing sites, and help expand our fixed-wireless network across Lackawanna and Wayne counties.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 AM-4 PM with on-call for emergencies.
What you’ll do:
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment on telecommunication towers
Perform rooftop and tower mounts for customer connections
Optimize network performance and assist with new site builds
Document work and keep schedules
What you need:
Comfortable working at heights (prior climbing experience strongly preferred; we will train the right person)
Solid networking knowledge (routers, switches, IP subnetting, basic RF)
Familiarity with Ubiquiti, Cambium, MikroTik, or CBRS is a big plus
Reliable transportation, clean driving record, able to pass background check
