We are a San Fernando Valley-based property management firm specializing in the management of condominiums, townhouses, and PUD communities. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Portfolio Manager to support an existing portfolio of properties and assist the Portfolio Manager with the day-to-day operations of the communities we manage.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Portfolio Manager will support the Portfolio Manager with the daily management and operation of a portfolio of HOA communities, including:

  • Assisting with regular property inspections and documenting property conditions
  • Helping identify necessary maintenance and repair items
  • Assisting with scheduling vendors and coordinating routine maintenance
  • Supporting the preparation of scopes of work for repair and maintenance projects
  • Assisting with soliciting bids and organizing proposals for Board review
  • Coordinating with vendors and monitoring project progress
  • Assisting with post-project inspections for repairs and capital improvement projects
  • Assisting the Portfolio Manager with homeowner communications regarding maintenance, violations, and community matters
  • Drafting letters, notices, memos, and hearing notices
  • Reviewing governing documents and assisting with homeowner questions and minor disputes
  • Supporting the Portfolio Manager with compliance matters related to the Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act and California Civil Code
  • Assisting with vendor coordination, legal coordination, and general administrative support related to HOA operations

Skills, Abilities & Background

  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of HOA management or related property management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act and California Civil Code preferred
  • Associates degree minimum / Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • HOA certification (CCAM, CMCA, AMS, or PCAM) preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Basic understanding of budgets, financials, and ledgers preferred
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills
  • Honest, dependable, and drama-free

Compensation is based on experience. A company health plan is also provided.

This position is designed to provide hands-on experience and growth within the HOA management industry. Based on performance, communication skills, organizational ability, and overall success in supporting the management team and portfolio operations, the Assistant Portfolio Manager role may lead to advancement into a Portfolio Manager position with responsibility over an assigned portfolio of communities.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
