icon Mechanical is seeking qualified professionals to join our CSG team. We are currently looking for a Estimator to join our CSG team located at our office in Chesterfield, MO. Our ideal candidate for a Estimator will be a self-starter, and we are open to a range of experience levels — from entry-level candidates ready to learn the trade to experienced estimators with 5 years of mechanical/HVAC estimating experience.

Primary responsibilities for icon’s Estimator include:

• Reviewing bid opportunities and bid packages — drawings, specifications, and addenda — to define scope of work, identify risks, and support bid/no-bid decisions.
• Attending pre-bid meetings and job walks to evaluate existing conditions and gather the information needed to build a complete, accurate estimate.
• Performing detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems on design-build, plan-spec, and retrofit projects.
• Developing complete cost estimates, including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Soliciting, evaluating, and leveling vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure full scope coverage and competitive pricing.
• Preparing and submitting proposals, bid forms, and scope letters with clarifications and qualifications, and supporting bid-day activities.
• Supporting change order pricing on active projects and providing a smooth estimate turnover to the project team on awarded work.

Primary qualifications for icon’s Estimator include:

• Knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems, building products, construction details/design and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
• Experience with estimating and takeoff software and strong Microsoft Excel skills are a plus — we will train the right candidate.
• Genuine desire to solve problems.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Possesses a strong personal commitment for long-term and meaningful goals.
• Ability to work within an environment with deadlines while having to multi-task with changing priorities.
• Demonstrate confidence in their knowledge and is committed to researching the answers and finding the right solution for things they do not know.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to present oneself in a professional manner.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000
