Position Description
ICON is seeking an OOH Media Buyer to oversee the planning and procurement of outdoor advertising campaigns across diverse markets and media partners. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative approach. Exceptional communication abilities and a proactive, professional demeanor are essential. This role offers the opportunity to engage in trade negotiations with OOH media partners, making strategic networking a critical component of the position.
Responsibilities
- Manage client, media partner, and internal communications related to account status and negotiations.
- Plan and execute RFPs; distribute to relevant OOH media partners
- Negotiate and secure OOH inventory while meeting profit goals
- Ensure accuracy in media authorizations and partner contracts
- Leverage data to support OOH recommendations and optimize buys
- Maintain expertise in OOH formats and partner offerings across markets
- Utilize inventory banks and collaborate on new trade opportunities
- Oversee media posting to ensure timely and accurate campaign execution
- Handle planning and buying across multiple clients simultaneously
- Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow
- Foster strong relationships with clients, agencies and media partners
- Stay informed on industry trends and market conditions
- May be trained to buy additional media formats as needed
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
- Minimum 3 years of OOH media buying/planning preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using SBMS, DoMedia & Geopath a plus
- Strong multitasking, teamwork, and pressure management skills
- Excellent communication, project management, and time management abilities
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States
