INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION DESIGNER – Northeast Pennsylvania
The Industrial Designer will produce designs and develop the concepts for manufactured products. The ideal candidate should be located in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area of NEPA.
JOB SUMMARY:
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Work with customers to determine requirements for designs
- Use computer software to develop virtual models of designs
- Evaluate product safety, appearance, and function to determine if a design is practical
- Troubleshoot problems of existing designs and offer solutions.
- Maintain accurate project files, including drawing, project tracking and purchasing sub-folders.
- Identify and track out of scope work – change orders.
- Troubleshoot any NC1 file integration into a Prodevco PCR42 robotic plasma cutter.
- Job will be location in a fabrication shop with the hours of 6a-2:30p.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATION:
- An A.S. (or higher) in Structural/Mechanical Engineering or knowledge in the manufacturing industry.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience.
- SolidWorks & CAD experience is required.
- Must have knowledge of AISC standards.
- Experience in building steel/mezzanines/stairways/handrail is needed.
- Must be highly motivated and have strong problem solving ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Must have good technical writing abilities.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player.
- Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office tools.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
