INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION FIELD WELDER – Northeast Pennsylvania
ICON is currently seeking Welders to support operations in the Northeast Pennsylvania area.
JOB SUMMARY:
Must be able to construct metal components together for fabrication or repair using various methods according to blueprints, layouts, and or work orders. Extensive use of welding and cutting equipment will be preformed. All welders must know how to operate safety equipment and use safe work habits at all times. Due to the type of work a welder does and the tools and equipment they use, certain physical requirements must be met. Welders must be able to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. The welders frequently handle, lift, carry and set up parts and equipment that weigh up to 50 pounds (23 kg).

SKILLS/QUALIFICATION:
- 2 years of welding experience.
- Experience in TIG welding SS Pipe. A weld test will be administered for this experience.
- Ability to pass welding certification testing within a minimum of two required processes: GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, SS FCAW, and/or SS GMAW.
- 6010/8010 downhill is a plus.
- Perform fabrication on sheet metal, plate and/or other structural steel.
- Tasked with various common fabrication tasks such as prep material, braze, solder, burn, grind, sand, drill and bevel component.
- Ability and willingness to travel to various local job sites within a work week. Rare but occasional out-of-town travel as well.
- Required to possess and maintain a personal set of hand tools.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
- Expected to ensure their workmanship meets or exceeds applicable standard industry and or customer contract specifications.
