Role Description This full-time, on-site Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) role is based in Connecticut, United States. The CRNA will provide safe and effective anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures, including pre-anesthesia assessment, anesthesia planning, and intraoperative management. Daily responsibilities include administering general and regional anesthesia, monitoring patient status, adjusting anesthetic plans as needed, and collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other clinical professionals. The role also involves post-anesthesia evaluation, documentation of all anesthesia-related care, adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards, and participation in quality and safety initiatives. The CRNA is expected to maintain up-to-date clinical competencies and contribute to a team-based, patient-centered care environment.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong expertise in anesthesiology and general anesthesia, including comprehensive knowledge of anesthetic agents, monitoring, and airway management.
  • Candidates should possess advanced nursing skills, with current licensure as a Registered Nurse and certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
  • Candidates should possess a solid foundation in medicine and surgery, including understanding of surgical procedures, perioperative care, and patient safety principles.
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program; master’s or doctoral degree in nurse anesthesia or related field preferred.
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a CRNA in Connecticut, along with required national certifications (e.g., NBCRNA) and BLS/ACLS.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with patients and colleagues, and adapt to varied clinical settings.
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient-centered care.
  • Previous experience in hospital or surgical center anesthesia practice is highly beneficial; experience with a range of case types and patient populations is a plus.
