Role Summary:
The Print Production Manager oversees the end-to-end production process for Icon Design print programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality. This role manages production schedules, vendor relationships, quality control, and compliance. The Print Production Manager collaborates closely with the Clients, Designers, Project Managers, Contractors, and Vendors to deliver signage and graphic materials that meet both industry and accessibility standards, as well as guide corrective action for re-runs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and manage production schedules, milestones, and deliverables across print projects.
- Partner with the Project Manager to align workflow dependencies and ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinates with Graphic Content authors to ensure timely content delivery for print production.
- Develop and approve detailed print specifications (size, material, finish, instillation, etc.).
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of final print files to vendors, ensuring they meet specifications.
- This includes but is not limited to, order proofing, virtual mock-ups, prototyping, troubleshooting, and real-time quality control adjustments to orders in production
- Source and manage relationships with print vendors and related suppliers.
- Conduct cost analysis, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement processes.
- Coordinate with vendors on press checks, file delivery, and production status updates.
- Perform final quality assurance (proof reviews, spot checks) to ensure accuracy and fidelity to approved content.
- Daily tasks involve usage of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator) and email communication with vendors and clients
- Estimate, track, and report on production costs.
- Provide Finance with regular updates on spend vs. budget across active projects.
- Work with the Client Graphic Designer and Production Designer to maintain visual standards.
- Partner with Project Managers, Engineering, and Production Team to align production schedules with clients' needs
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Work in a creative, high-performing team on projects with national and global impact.
- The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and someone who likes to create solutions.
- 3 Years of Experience in a Pre-Press/Pre-Production Management role
- 5 Years of Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator
- There will be a skills test for this administered during the interview process
- Detail Oriented and a Critical Thinker
- An affinity for process improvement and standardization
