Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient treatment plans and explain procedures clearly to ensure understanding and compliance
- Manage appointment scheduling using systems such as Dentrix or similar platforms
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring accurate billing and documentation review
- Assist patients with intake processes, insurance verification, and payment arrangements
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Review clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy before submission
- Provide front desk support including multi-line phone system management, patient greeting, and office management duties
- Support the clinical team with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and office organization
- Ensure excellent patient service through effective communication, phone etiquette, and professional demeanor
Skills
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and health information management standards
- Experience with insurance verification processes for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
