Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to support the creation and maintenance of technical drawings for tooling and mechanical components. The ideal candidate will have experience with SolidWorks, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a solid understanding of drafting standards and file management practices. This role requires the ability to accurately translate engineering concepts into detailed drawings in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and revise detailed technical drawings using CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Apply drafting standards, file configuration practices, and design documentation requirements.
• Translate engineering and design information into accurate manufacturing and tooling drawings.
• Collaborate with tool makers, engineers, and cross-functional team members to support project objectives.
• Ensure drawings meet quality, accuracy, and documentation standards.
• Maintain organized drawing files and revision histories.
• Support project timelines while managing multiple priorities.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or a related discipline preferred.
• Candidates without an Associate's Degree must possess at least three years of relevant drafting experience.
• Technical education in mechanical drafting and mathematics, or equivalent practical experience demonstrating drafting and mathematical proficiency.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of drafting standards and drawing interpretation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with ANSI drafting standards.
• Experience creating drawings for tooling, manufacturing, or mechanical components.
• Ability to quickly adapt and become productive with minimal supervision.
