We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Siding/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various siding materials and carpentry components on residential and commercial buildings. Duties
- Install a variety of siding materials including vinyl, metal, stucco, and fiber cement with precision and attention to detail
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, assemble, and install framing, drywall, trim carpentry, masonry, and other building components
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks while adhering to proper safety protocols including the use of construction safety harnesses and ladder safety procedures
- Apply caulking, sealants, and perform finishing work such as trim carpentry and stucco application for a polished look
- Follow construction safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe work environment on all job sites
- Interpret technical schematics and blueprints to ensure precise installation of siding and related structures
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
Qualifications
- Proven experience in siding installation, carpentry, roofing repair, or related construction fields with a strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding safely and effectively
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret construction plans accurately
- Experience with drywall installation, caulking techniques, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, tile laying, concrete forming or restoration is highly desirable
- Outdoor work experience is essential; comfortable working in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence including the use of safety harnesses during elevated work tasks
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and prolonged outdoor activity
- Handyman experience or background in framing carpentry or metal stud framing is beneficial
