Position Overview
The Robotics Instructor is responsible for creating an engaging, hands-on learning experience that helps K–12 students explore and understand robotics concepts. In addition to strong knowledge in robotics—such as mechanical design, electronics, sensors, programming, and physical computing—this role requires the ability to connect with students, encourage them individually, assess their progress, and communicate effectively with parents.
The ideal candidate is a college student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, who has a passion for teaching and working with youth. Experienced professionals with a strong robotics background and an enthusiasm for education are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach the curriculum provided while maintaining class discipline - curriculum training will be provided by iCode
Requirements
- Strong understanding of robotics concepts and hands-on experience with robotics kits or platforms (e.g., LEGO, VEX).
- Positive attitude, outgoing personality and excellent people skills
- Ability to work with students ranging from K-12
- Pursuing or holding a degree in a robotics-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Self-motivated and driven
