What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leasing Specialist position at ICO Multifamily Property Management?
Duties:
- Greet and assist prospective tenants in touring available units
- Provide information on rental properties, including pricing, availability, and lease terms
- Conduct background and credit checks on potential tenants
- Prepare lease agreements and ensure all necessary documents are completed accurately
- Collect and process rental payments from tenants
- Address tenant inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate move-ins and move-outs, including conducting inspections and documenting any damages
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, lease agreements, and maintenance requests
- Collaborate with property management team to ensure efficient operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property leasing or sales preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with tenants
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using computer software for administrative tasks (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Knowledge of facilities management and maintenance processes is a plus
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs is a plus
- Ability to handle conflict management situations effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
