What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Specialist position at ICL USA?
About the Role
We’re looking for a Logistics Specialist who thrives on coordination, communication, and execution. This role keeps product moving — from containers at port to final delivery — by tracking details, managing vendors, and troubleshooting issues before they become problems.
You’ll partner closely with our logistics manager, warehouse team, and customer operations to ensure shipments land on time, data stays accurate, and every move is handled efficiently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, brokers, and warehouses.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries, confirm appointments, and follow through until delivery is confirmed.
- Monitor inventory transfers, inbound receipts, and system moves between locations.
- Create and manage shipping documentation (commercial invoices, customs forms, bills of lading).
- Investigate and resolve shipping delays, discrepancies, or damaged freight.
- Partner with vendors for projects such as crating, rigging, or equipment moves.
- Maintain accurate shipment and cost tracking in shared systems and spreadsheets.
- Support process improvement — identify patterns, propose fixes, and document best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with warehouses, order management, and finance to keep operations aligned.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in logistics coordination, transportation, or supply-chain operations.
- Working knowledge of ERP or WMS systems; Oracle experience a plus.
- Strong Excel and data-management skills — comfortable reconciling, tracking, and analyzing details.
- Excellent organization and follow-through; you keep things moving and communicate clearly.
- Calm under pressure — you problem-solve instead of panic.
- Team mindset with the confidence to manage tasks independently.
Why This Role
This is a hands-on operations position where precision matters and every day is different. You’ll work with a manager who values efficiency, clear systems, and data you can act on. If you’re organized, proactive, and take pride in keeping the details right — you’ll be an essential part of how we deliver for our customers.
