Job Overview
The coordinator works with an assigned Broker to execute freight from tender through delivery, serving as the broker's dedicated support in building, sourcing, tracking, and closing out each load. This includes building loads into our TMS, sourcing and negotiating with carriers within the pricing structure set by the assigned broker, tracking shipments, and handling documentation through to delivery.
Coordinators are assigned to a broker once that broker's production reaches a sustained level and support that broker's book on an ongoing basis.
Duties
● Build the load into our TMS (Rose Rocket) once freight is tendered by your assigned broker
● Vet and source a carrier and negotiate the carrier rate, working within the pricing structure set by your assigned broker
● Send the rate confirmation and Bill of Lading
● Track and trace the shipment through delivery
● Receive the Proof of Delivery, upload it for carrier payment and invoicing, and close out the load
● Resolve service issues directly when within your ability to do so, and escalate to your assigned broker when it isn't — reporting the outcome either way
● Maintain accuracy of rate and margin figures on every load through delivery
Qualifications
● Experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation support. One year minimum of like experience required.
● Working knowledge of logistics and freight platforms, such as Highway and ePay Manager
● Strong attention to detail and comfort communicating with carriers directly
● Ability to stay responsive during time-sensitive situations, including occasional issues outside standard business hours

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
