Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Server to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the food service industry, ensuring that both guests and staff are well taken care of. This role involves overseeing the dining area, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Supervise and train serving staff to ensure adherence to service standards and protocols.
- Manage daily operations of the dining area, including coordinating with kitchen staff for timely food preparation and delivery.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha , Tabit tech.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.
- Assist in inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels to minimize waste.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, staffing needs, and training & development initiatives for team members.
- Oversee shift management to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Utilize culinary experience to assist with food preparation when necessary, ensuring quality standards are met.
Experience
- Proven experience in a restaurant management or supervisory role within fine dining or casual dining establishments.
- Strong background in food service management, including knowledge of food handling, production, and safety practices.
- Experience with inventory control and budgeting processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with various POS systems is essential; experience with Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Previous roles involving staff training, team management, or hospitality management will be advantageous.
