Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Proven experience as a server in fine dining or high-volume food service environments
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations and order management
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions
- Experience in culinary preparation or kitchen environments is a plus for better understanding of food offerings
- Knowledge of the food industry standards for serving, bussing, and host/hostess responsibilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and order accuracy
- Familiarity with nightclub or hospitality settings is advantageous for creating lively atmospheres
- Strong guest relations skills with an emphasis on hospitality excellence
