As a Configuration Management Analyst, specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Duties:
- Develop and recommend strategies to optimize systems configuration procedures, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform research and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of current systems.
- Implement solutions in problem areas, based on findings from analytical assessments.
- Develop and establish configuration policies and regulations to support a smooth and effective workflow.
- Provide configuration support by assisting with system installation, troubleshooting, upgrades, and conducting regular maintenance checks.
- Contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project, utilizing both independent and collaborative work approaches.
- Develop and use more complex concepts and processes to enhance configuration management outcomes.
- Conduct root cause problem analysis and develop appropriate technical solutions.
- Guide and support junior-level personnel in the execution of configuration management tasks.
- Seek guidance when addressing new, uncertain, undefined, or undeveloped tasks, while operating independently in familiar areas.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering or Business, or other related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: 4–7 years of experience in configuration management or a related technical discipline. A Master’s degree in a directly relevant field may substitute for 2 years of experience. Equivalent experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated experience working as a system administrator. Ability to work independently in familiar areas and seek guidance when in new or undefined areas.
