Job Summary
Icehouse Restaurant is seeking a friendly, professional, and guest-focused Host / Hostess to join the front-of-house team. The ideal candidate will warmly welcome guests, manage reservations and seating, coordinate table flow, answer questions, and help create an organized and welcoming dining experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional hospitality.
- Manage guest arrivals, reservations, seating, and waitlists efficiently.
- Coordinate table assignments and maintain smooth dining-room flow.
- Escort guests to tables and provide menus when appropriate.
- Answer questions about menu items, restaurant services, and seating options.
- Communicate guest needs, special requests, and seating preferences to the service team.
- Monitor table availability and coordinate with servers and management during busy periods.
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries.
- Maintain accurate reservation and waitlist information.
- Provide guests with accurate wait-time information and updates.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entrance area.
- Assist with guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner.
- Support servers and other front-of-house team members as needed.
- Follow restaurant service, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with opening, closing, and other front-of-house duties.
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by restaurant management.
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess, restaurant, hospitality, or guest-service experience is preferred but not required.
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain organized in a busy restaurant environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
