Position Summary

A Material Handler at IceCap Cold Storage needs to be able to support operations and logistics teams in minus 10 degrees (-10 F) for long periods of time. Material Handlers play a critical role in ensuring materials and finished goods move safely, correctly and on time. Employees will need to use scanners and other equipment, such as scales, in the performance of their duties. They may also need to perform duties that may include packing, scanning or counting products for extended periods of time.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
• Pick palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and set up for outbound shipment.
• Support operations by moving material and inventory throughout the facility
• Use hand trucks, conveyors or other material handling equipment
• Perform duties that may include packing, scanning, kitting or counting products
• Verify orders, label products and use a handheld scanner
• Always maintain a clean environment
• Check for damaged goods.
• Stay aware of any possible hazards.
• Work safely in a cold environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation to Council Bluffs.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Fahrenheit while wearing company provided personal protective equipment.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screening.
• Steel/Composite boots Required
