My client is building the future of AI-powered healthcare, and we’re looking for a hands-on Senior Security Engineer to make sure it’s secure from the start.
You’ll join a fast-moving, mission-driven team working at the intersection of AI, healthcare data, and modern cloud infrastructure. This is a role for someone who thrives in code, understands systems end-to-end, and wants to build a security foundation that protects real patient impact.
What You’ll Do
- Champion security across the stack — frontend, backend, infrastructure, and cloud.
- Conduct security-focused code reviews and design reviews across engineering.
- Implement and secure authentication and authorization (OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC).
- Work with developers to embed security into product design and development workflows.
- Build pragmatic solutions that strengthen security without slowing innovation.
What We’re Looking For
- Security engineering ideally in startups or smaller tech environments.
- Hands-on experience as a Security Engineer, Full-Stack Engineer with Security focus, or Cloud Security Architect.
- Proven ability to code and fix across the stack — not just advise.
- Strong experience with:
- Auth0, Google Cloud, Python, Django
- Vercel, Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript
- Expo/React Native
- Familiarity with modern auth protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC).
- Some exposure to Terraform or other IaC tools is a plus.

Not the Right Fit If
- You’ve spent your career exclusively in large enterprises with no startup experience.
- You’ve only worked in consulting or advisory roles with minimal hands-on coding.
- You’re not comfortable owning security as both a strategic thinker and an IC engineer.
This role is hybrid in Miami with 2-3 days onsite with a salary range of $185k-$265k equity.
Salary : $185,000 - $265,000
