Job Summary
The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for meeting inventory goals, managing and creating processes that track system inventory levels, collecting inventory data, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to improve accuracy. This role is critical to ensure goods flow efficiently, problems are addressed proactively, and resources are aligned with demand—directly impacting profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise inventory control staff, including training, scheduling, and daily task delegation
- Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, audits, and inventory adjustments
- Monitor material flow to support manufacturing production schedules
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain compliance with workplace safety standards and company policies
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, and shipping departments to ensure inventory accuracy
- Analyze operational reports and KPIs to improve inventory accuracy and cycle count performance
- Analyze inventory trends and recommend process improvements to improve operational efficiency and reduce discrepancies
- Utilize Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word) for reporting, tracking, KPI management, and communication
- Complete ERP or inventory management system transactions and reporting
- Maintain clean and organized inventory areas
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of inventory experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- 3 years of experience with ERP/MRP systems is required
- 3 years of experience with lean manufacturing principles is highly desired
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is desired but not required.
- Valid forklift license/certification required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient with basic math conversion and units of measure
- Able to read a tape measure

Pay: $21.00 - $27.50 per hour
