Hiring for Servers
Position Overview: Your job requires you to be energetic, friendly, and positive at all times. It is essential that you maintain a high level of enthusiasm and energy while serving your guests. As a server at the Ice Plant, you are a public relations representative of our company because of the many guests that you come into contact with. You are in continuous public view. Therefore, your behavior should be at all times that of genuine hospitality.
Scope of Duties: As a server you must be on time and in full-specified uniform. Maintain a positive, professional approach and project an attitude of enthusiasm and energy at all times.
Responsibilities: As a server you are responsible for making sure that your station is set correctly and ready for service and that all opening, running and closing side work has been completed according to specifications. You must have complete knowledge of the food and beverage offerings of the restaurant. You are also responsible for helping team members at any time possible, especially running food and cleaning tables. At the end of the shift you are responsible for handling cash of the check relative to your situation.
Control: You are responsible for the guest’s check in your station. All food and beverage items served must be rung in and properly accounted for on the appropriate guest’s check.
Teamwork: An attitude of teamwork and flexibility for assigned duties is expected. Service should not be disrupted because of lack of communication or cooperation among team members.
Side-work and Checkout: At the conclusion of your shift, it is your responsibility to detail out your station, complete assigned closing duties as posted or as assigned by Management.
