Ice Miller is seeking an associate to join its Trusts & Estates Section of our Business Group in the Naples office. Candidates with at least 3 (three) to 5 (five) years of estate planning experience preferred. The attorney will work on estate planning, estate and trust administration, business succession planning, charitable planning, and trust and estate litigation. As part of that work, the attorney would be required to research and learn complex rules of gift, estate and generation skipping transfer tax. Members of the group would offer training on this and other aspects of the practice, but there must be a desire and ability to work with and comprehend intricacies in complex tax law and a high attention to detail in document preparation with particular focus on irrevocable trusts, SLAT trusts, and asset protection. Experience dealing with inbound foreign investment in the U.S. by non-resident aliens or dealing with outbound planning in foreign countries by U.S. citizens is a plus.
