Position Overview
Seasonal Rink Staff members support the safe and efficient daily operation of the outdoor ice rink. Team members are assigned to skate distribution/disinfection, cashier duties, facility cleanliness, or ice monitoring based on the needs of the rink. Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on daily assignment, responsibilities may include:
- Skate Attendant: Distribute, collect, and thoroughly disinfect rental skates; assist guests with skate fitting and returns.
- Cashier: Handle transactions, process payments, issue change/receipts, and provide friendly customer service.
- Facility Cleanliness: Maintain clean and orderly common areas, seating, and entry points; empty trash and perform routine cleaning.
- Ice Monitor: Observe skaters on the ice, enforce safety rules, assist with minor issues, and promptly report incidents or hazards to the Manager.
All staff members will promote and enforce rink safety at all times, provide courteous assistance to guests, follow Manager direction, and complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions.
- Strong customer-service orientation and reliability.
- Willingness to perform any of the core duties listed above as needed.
- Prior customer-service, retail, or recreational facility experience is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry skates or supplies, work in cold outdoor conditions, and move around the facility as needed.
