Ice Cream Man Place, Inc. ("ICMP") is the largest sole ice cream distributor in South Texas. We currently cover 22 counties across South Texas. We carry a variety of brands but are mainly known for our Blue Bunny ice cream distribution network.
Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Route Sales Delivery Driver, where you will be the vital link between our company and valued customers. In this energetic role, you’ll be responsible for delivering products efficiently along designated routes, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help drive sales growth and enhance customer satisfaction on every route. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to combine driving expertise with sales acumen in a fast-paced environment that values your contributions. Driver pay is based on commission with extra incentives if you can go out of your own way to find and open new stores. Driver pay starts at 8% of all sales, $50 per freezer placement and $100 per freezer placement if the driver is able to open a chain with 4 locations.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver products along assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload merchandise, often requiring lifting and bending over, while maintaining proper merchandising standards
- Engage with customers professionally to confirm deliveries, answer questions, and promote additional products through upselling techniques
- Manage route schedules efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups throughout the day
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including invoices, receipts, and delivery logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery times and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and experience in commercial driving
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Understanding of Apple iOS software
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Proven ability in sales techniques such as upselling and product promotion
- Physical capability for lifting and extended periods of driving or standing
- Organizational skills to manage routes efficiently and keep accurate records
- Prior experience in route driving or military logistics is highly desirable for discipline and operational excellence
