The IT Operations Administrator supports daily IT operations by managing identity and access controls, overseeing asset lifecycle and budgeting, conducting audits, and provisioning training environments. This role ensures secure, efficient, and compliant IT systems while maintaining adherence to established processes across the organization.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Administer and maintain accurate user access permissions across multiple platforms (Active Directory, SaaS applications, on-prem systems).  
  • Assist with IT asset inventory updates, audits and lifecycle tracking. 
  • Ensure asset costs stay within the IT budget.  
  • Support setup and maintenance of training environments to ensure full readiness for training classrooms including oversight of system refreshes and upgrades.  
  • Generate and distribute operational reports (asset utilization, compliance status, permissions and budgets). 
  • Maintain accurate documentation for processes and configurations. 
  • Oversee change control and assist in audits. 
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to IT governance frameworks.  
  • Deliver monthly IT and Green Team training while maintaining high‑quality, up‑to‑date operational documentation. 
  • Maintain IT documentation standards, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across all teams. 
  • Provide Tier 3 operational support for escalated issues. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree required. A degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Business preferred. 
  • 0-3 years of experience in IT operations or relevant experience. 
  • Basic understanding of IT systems and security principles.  
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles or ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, JSM).  
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. 
  • Preferred Certifications: ITIL Foundation or CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security .  

 

Performance Standard:  

The IT Operations Administrator is expected to process user permission requests within established SLAs, maintain asset inventory accuracy, ensure training environments are prepared and functional before scheduled sessions, and submit monthly operational reports on time. Compliance with change control procedures and zero critical audit findings are essential to success in this role. Must be a motivated individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Must comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by ICCU.

 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (e.g., typing, filing, sorting) 
  • Sit for extended periods of time 
  • Lift 20–40 pounds of supplies (e.g., copy paper, marketing materials) 
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers 
  • Operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, copier)
