POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting product and process quality throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. This role ensures that incoming materials, in-process work, and finished products meet established specifications and customer requirements. The Quality Technician plays a key role in maintaining quality standards, supporting audits, and providing timely, professional communication on quality-related issues, including customer-facing reports for returns and warranty claims.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspection & Verification
- Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and components to ensure conformance to specifications
- Conduct in-process inspections per control plans for each job/project
- Execute final/outgoing inspections to verify product quality prior to shipment
- Document and communicate inspection results clearly and accurately
Quality Systems & Documentation
- Maintain and update production quality documents, inspection records, and control plans
- Support compliance with internal procedures and customer-specific requirements
- Ensure traceability and proper documentation for all inspected products
Audits & Continuous Improvement
- Perform process audits to verify adherence to standard work and quality procedures
- Participate in and support 6S activities and audits across the facility
- Identify opportunities for improvement and escalate quality concerns as needed
Nonconformance & Customer Support
- Assist with nonconformance (NC) investigations, rework validation, and disposition support
- Support MRB (Material Review Board) activities by gathering data and documenting findings
- Prepare professional customer reports related to returns, warranties, or quality concerns
- Collaborate with internal teams to determine root cause and corrective actions
Communication & Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams
- Provide clear, timely updates on quality issues and inspection results
- Support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality environment preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and control plans
- Basic understanding of measurement tools
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with basic computer applications
- Ability to document findings and create professional reports
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
