The 2nd Shift Machinist plays a key role in producing precision components for our industrial commutators and slip rings. This role requires strong manual machining skills **and** CNC machining capabilities. You will set up, run, and inspect work across manual lathes, CNC vertical mills, and other machining equipment. Training occurs on 1st shift (7:00am–2:00pm) before transitioning to 2nd shift (2:00pm–10:00pm).

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and machining equipment

• Set up and operate CNC mills (Haas, Honor, or similar—G/M-code familiarity preferred)

• Perform basic CNC edits and offsets to ensure part accuracy

• Machine precision components to tight tolerances

• Read and interpret drawings, prints, and specifications

• Perform measurement and inspection using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.

• Adjust tools, feeds, and speeds based on materials and tolerances

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (6S)

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve machining challenges

• Troubleshoot machining issues and ensure high-quality workmanship

• Proven experience as a manual machinist (large lathes preferred)

• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills

• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

• Strong alignment with ICC’s core values

• 5 years machining experience

• Experience with large vertical or horizontal lathes

• Experience with CNC programming or editing (G/M code)

• Experience machining custom, one-off, or low-volume jobs
